Organic/Geometric

Hello friends and art lovers!

Organic/Geometric: the Body/Mind is turning out to be a beautiful and vibrant interactive project, that I am producing with twelve highly creative Western students: six artists and six dancers.

They have worked together for four months to create large, open geometric forms, in the colors of the rainbow. They were inspired by the geometric shapes often visualized in the chakra system of the human body. Each artist/dancer pair put together a dance costume in a similar color as their sculpture.

The dancers are currently holding rehearsals, in costume, in the gallery. We invite you to attend the Closing Reception to see the sculpture/dance event: Thursday March 12th from 6-8pm in the VU Gallery, 5th floor of the Viking Union on campus. If you cannot make the closing reception performance, I encourage you to attend one of the rehearsals. You can find the rehearsal schedule on the VU Gallery Facebook page.
